This guide contains a list of suggested resources to help you find Children's Literature by topic.

If you are still having problems finding information on your topic, click on the tab Ask a Librarian above.

You can now use WorldCat to search the library collections for children's and youth literature. To do so, try the following steps:

Go to the Tyndale library catalogue.
Enter your topic (i.e. 'Canada') and press enter, or click on the magnifying glass
When results come up, change 'Refine This Search' to sort by Library. This brings up Tyndale holdings first
Scroll down further to 'Audience' and choose 'Juvenile'

Goodreads has many helpful lists to aid in finding age and grade appropriate reading.

Search Scholastic for a book and discover its recommended grade and reading levels.

Children's Picture Book Database
Maintained and developed by the University of Miami. This database contains abstracts of over 5,000 picture books that can be search by theme.
Fiction Finder
Fiction Finder is a works-based based application that provides access to millions of works of fiction described in WorldCat records for books, eBooks, audio books, movies and television. You can search by person, place, topic, genre, character, Dewey and more.
