iPads for Learning and Instruction: Connecting to the Internet

This guide is intended to help faculty, staff and students use the iPad for instructional purposes in the classroom.

Connecting to the Internet at Tyndale

Take the following steps to connect to the wireless network at Tyndale using the iPad

  1. Go to the Home Page on your iPad

  2. Tap on the Settings icon  

  3. Tap on the Wi-Fi icon in the first Settings panel

  4. Select the tyndale network

  5. Tap Join and Accept

Connecting to the Internet off Campus

Take the following steps to connect to the wireless network off campus using the iPad

  1. Go to the Home Page on your iPad

  2. Tap on the Settings icon  

  3. Tap on the Wi-Fi icon in the first Settings panel

  4. Tap on the name of the network that you want to use

    Tap Other to connect to a hidden network

  5. Enter password (if applicable)

  6. Tap Join and Accept

This pre-installed app enables you to browse the internet and read online documents 

 

 

Google Chrome (free)

You may download Chrome in the App Store. Tap Get, tap Install, then enter your Apple ID Password and tap OK. To start browsing, go to your HOME screen.
