iPads for Learning and Instruction: EBSCO Databases & iPads

This guide is intended to help faculty, staff and students use the iPad for instructional purposes in the classroom.

EBSCO Databases & iPads

To access the electronic resources in the EBSCO databases you need to register your email and download the EBSCO app. To do so, take the following steps:

  1. Go to one of the EBSCO databases (i.e. Academic Search Premier) on the Tyndale Library e-resources site
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the EBSCOhost iPhone and Android applications link
  3. Enter your email address (i.e. jdoe@mytyndale.ca).
    EBSCO will send you an email asking your to "authenticate" the app
  4. Check your email either using the Email App on your iPad or email provider in Safari. Both work.
  5. In your email click on the iTunes Store link to download the EBSCO app
  6. Go back to your email and click on Authentication Key link to activate the EBSCO app
  7. Start your EBSCO search now that your EBSCO app has been authenticated
